My name is Ruby Concetta, I come from an Italian and Dutch background. My artwork means everything to me. It gives me peace in my crazy world of being a wife and mother of 4 young children.
When I was young I always loved drawing or making knick-knack’s. I grew up with depression and often felt like there was no reason for me to be here. Having my children gave me a purpose although I used alcohol as a means of coping with the pressures of being a mother and to try to cover up my depression. I became very sick, physically and mentally and I realised I had to choose to let go of alcohol and face my demons.
I returned to my art which has always been my anchor. I’m thankful that I love painting and drawing, to me it is a form of meditation and it helped me keep my mind off alcohol.
I paint what I feel and I feel life is full of beauty but also ugliness. Bad and good, I guess you could call my art yin yang. You have to know bad to know good.

I love anything a little unusual—anything that makes you look twice. I've always been fascinated by the Mexican Day of the Dead because it's so beautiful, meaningful, and just a little bit dark.
That's what inspired me to start creating my own Day of the Dead-inspired wall art. Each piece takes time, patience, and a lot of love to. create, but I genuinely enjoy every moment of the process. Every artwork is completely unique and one of a kind, made to bring a little beauty, mystery, and personality into your home.

They say that to become a successful artist, you need to find your style and stick to it... but that's never felt right to me.
I don't have just one style. I paint dark, funny, colourful, and sometimes wonderfully strange things. I simply create whatever I'm inspired to paint in that moment.
Emotion plays a huge part in my creative process, and emotions are always changing. That's why I enjoy painting a little bit of everything. Every piece reflects a different mood, a different feeling, and a different part of my imagination.

I offer a variety of art services, including commissioned pieces, custom pet portraits, and custom made day of the dead inspired pieces.
